Sometimes love is more than tragedy or bliss.

Ambitious 22-year-old Lexie Waters is intent on taking the advertising world by storm. When she’s offered the soon to be open position she’s been vying for at a swanky advertising agency, there’s only one last summer separating her from dreams of corporate success. Still bitter from catching her boyfriend cheating, she heads out for a night of fun to see her favorite band, Devil’s Garden, but fun turns into utter embarrassment when she insults the enticingly confident lead singer, Van Sinclair. Van is intrigued by Lexie’s ability to resist his charm and secretly obtains her cell number. Shocked but eager to get to know this captivating rocker, Lexie accepts Van’s invitation to see his next show, which requires an overnight stay. The overwhelming feelings that follow take them both by surprise, and with two months left before starting her sought after new position, Lexie joins the tour. As she’s catapulted into the world of groupies and wild parties, she questions Van’s commitment to her. So what happens at summer’s end when time runs out?

Blissful Tragedy eBook Amy L Gale

This was a fun and quite well written book (obvious from the first page that the author is well educated…she's a Doctor of Pharmacy or something.) It's a fast and captivating read, but still substantial and not too "fluffy" like much of the genre. I love the intersection between romance and rock music! These characters were surprising in that Van is a much nicer, cleaner living, and more "together" guy that the (my) usual impression of rockers on the road…and Lexi wasn't quite as "together" as I expected. He was the clear winner in the "got it together" contest. Although there were times that I wanted to enter the plot and tell Lexi that she was being selfish, childish, and unappreciative of Van, I think that their personality differences and life choices (career vs. love) created the necessary conflict needed to keep the story interesting. I really was sad to see it end…I hear that this author has a new book in progress. I wonder if it is a sequel or a whole new romantic couple for us to meet and enjoy. Anyway, I'll follow Amy L. Gale with interest. Do yourself a favor…throw this book in your beach bag this summer, and download some rock tunes to go along with it!

Blissful Tragedy eBook Amy L Gale Reviews

I loved this book!! I'm a sucker for rockstar romance and when that rocker is a great guy who finds his soul mate after a trying beginning to his life, I love it even more!! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good romance.
A good story. It reads to quick from event to the next without any indication that it on to the next day, or place.
Although I continued to the end, I found myself noticing too much repetition. The premise was good, but although predictable, overall the phrasing was redundant.
Amazing, wonderful and enjoyable read. Can't wait for your next book Wrecked which I hope will be published soon.

Again, thanks f I r an amazing read.

Van Sinclair has made his way into the top book boyfriend list. He's not only a rocker and gorgeous but also protective and romantic. A great combo in a man. Lexie Masters is an ambitious young woman with a backbone and just a bit of insecurity...which is understandable when dating a rock star.
Their story was great and flowed really well. I loved the secondary characters, especially Jenna (she reminds me of me).

An awesome read by Amy L. Gayle. I can't wait to read more by this author.
Ah, Lexie and Van. How was their situation going to get resolved? I really wanted to know! And that's why Amy Gale's novel Blissful Tragedy kept me riveted until the very last page. It says a lot about a book when you have fresh episodes of an addictive show like Walking Dead waiting for you and you choose to read instead!

I think the first-person, present-tense narrative helped a lot in pulling the reader in. You could BE Lexie as she experienced this amazing ride. I thought the details were great -- I've always wondered what the inside of a tour bus looked like and what happened at one of those backstage meet-and-greets -- the author answered those questions for me.

I think the novel got better as it progressed because the stakes got higher. And I actually saw Lexie maturing as she started the job she had been working towards her whole life. I began to identify with her more and found myself really getting lost in the narrative.

There were just a few things that I think could have been developed further. 1) I was a little worried about Jenna's brief transition to a Mean Girl in Kansas -- and I think explaining why this happened would have added a lot to her character. 2) I would have LOVED to read more about Regina! How interesting -- and unusual -- to be a female manager in the music industry! How did she interact with the band members, especially Chaz and Tyler, who seemed to have a pretty old-fashioned attitude about women? What did she LOOK like? Maybe Amy can expand on Regina's story one day. 3) More info about Devil's Garden would have been great ... what did they sound like? What was it about their style that made them stand out? A snippet of a lyric or the name of a song or album would have been great. Don't get me wrong -- I love the sensual scenes between Lexie and Van, but a few less of those and maybe more development like the stuff listed above would have made the book even more enjoyable.

I see that Ms. Gale has a new novel coming out soon. It's definitely something I'm going to check out - she's got a great future ahead of her!
First I would like to congratulate the author, Amy L. Gale, on a terrific writing debut! Blissful Tragedy is a “rocking” love story that is full of passion, doubt, and L-O-V-E.

The story is told in first person point of view through the voice and mind of 22-year-old Lexie Waters. Lexie is young, driven, and overwhelmed by the strong emotions she is feeling for Van.

Van Sinclair. Wow! I feel in love with Van right along with Lexie. He is definitely alpha-male, rockstar, yummy and you can’t help but sigh out loud at some of his actions. I would have loved to hear some of the story from his point of view but even without that we good a good idea of his character and feelings.

Conflict, drama, and passion abounds as these two terrific characters try to find a way to make two separate lives blend into one and discover that love takes work, trust, and above all commitment.

I recommend this to anyone that loves a love story that features a yummy hero that steals your heart right along with the heroine’s.
